Is there any dentist out there that would be willing to do really cheap veneer?

I’m 33 and miserable. I’m attractive but have discolored teeth from smoking and soda pop. I quit smoking and want to get rid of this ugly reminder! I can’t even smile. Like I said, I’m otherwise very attractive. I want to finish college and find a career but my self-esteem is just too low. I don’t have the money to afford veneer and my dentist said it’s the only solution. Whitening won’t work on my teeth. I could probably afford $1000. I only need about 8 teeth done! Please help me!

 Have you checked in the the discount dental plans that are available. I signed up for one last year and it covers a lot of dentists in my area (Orlando). They don’t pay for everything but they do pay for 50% to 75% of my bills (depending on what I had done). I don’t know how much they will pay for veneers but it is worth checking out. I used http://dental-ppo.com to search for plans in my area. If you are in the U.S. you might want to check that out and see what is available where you live. I hope everything works out will for you.

Is there a minimum age on getting veneers?

Your best bet would be to go on holiday to some country and have it done there if you cannot afford to have it done at home! Then again the airfares and the dental work, you might as well have it done at home. But the choice is there, never the less. I know that a lot of woman come to SA for breast augmentation as it is cheap and they have good surgeons here. The same goes for Dental work, it is cheap compared to the US costs. I had 4 veneers done and it came to just under $400 about a year ago!!! Check the internet for different countries and dentists and see what their rates are. Good luck termite at ananzi dot co dot za

Jennifer, do not call Jessiecat. If she really is a dentist named Sawan I would be surprised, and one of her questions asked what she could do as she was abusing alcohol. Not the best choice for delicate dental work!

Also, cheap work is probably cheap quality. Since you have given up smoking, put aside the amount of money each week you would have spent on ciggies until you have the money you need for your veneer work. If you were a couple of packs a week then you will have over $700 after a year and a pack a day is more like $2500.

Just remember that dicoloured teeth don't change the person inside, if you are otherwise pretty and a nice person, people won't even care about your teeth.
